A. The membership term shall be a period of twelve (12) consecutive months, commencing from when the member's yearly dues are received by The NP Assoc NYS.
B. As a chapter of The NP Assoc NYS, The NP Assoc GR accepts six (6) categories of membership defined by The NP Assoc NYS. All The NP Assoc GR members must also be members of The NP Assoc NYS. Each potential member will send his/her/its membership application, with both state and chapter dues and/or fees that may be applicable, to The NP Assoc NYS headquarters. Categories of membership are:
Active Member: Has voting privileges and may hold office in The NP Assoc GR.
Student Member: Does not have voting privileges and may not hold office in The NP Assoc GR.
Honorary Member: Does not have voting privileges and may not hold office in The NP Assoc GR, and may be any person upon whom The NP Assoc GR Board of Directors chooses to bestow honorary membership.
Associate Member: Does not have voting privileges and may not hold office in The NP Assoc GR, and must be approved by The NP Assoc GR Board of Directors.
Retired Member: Does not have voting privileges and may not hold office in The NP Assoc GR.
Corporate Member: Does not have voting privileges and may not hold office in The NP Assoc GR, and must be approved for membership by The NP Assoc GR Board of Directors.
